The Civivi Sendy is a great everyday carry pocketknife suitable for multiple uses. This flipper knife has features akin to the Classic SD Swiss Army knives — tweezers and a toothpick.

If you’re in the market for a unique everyday carry pocket knife, the Civivi Sendy might be what you’re looking for. The Sendy does not have an overbearing tacticool vibe to it. But rather, the knife has some retro throwback features that’ll make dad and granddad give off a quixotic smirk.

Features

The Sendy is designed to be ambidextrous. The stainless steel clip can be moved from one side of the knife to the other by removing the Torx-headed screws holding it in place. If you’re looking for everyday carry use, the clip will securely hold the knife in a pants pocket without issue, and fairly deep too.

The blade construction of the Sendy is Nitro-V, a tough stainless steel. Measuring 2.83 inches, the blade has a spey point.

Like many of the Civivi knives, the Sendy is an affordable good everyday carry option.

The flipper lever is slim and minimalist. At first, I did not really like the flipper on this knife, but I got used to it rather quickly.

The locking mechanism is liner lock in style. It allows for quick and easy one-handed closing with some practice.

Our experience

The Civivi Sendy rapidly became a favored knife. We actually ran it through the testing and evaluation process a bit longer than we might usually do for a first blush review. The knife held up to every task we put it to during normal everyday carry scenarios. The blade did not dull on us from use.

The flipper mechanism and design stayed fluid the entire time we carried it. It actually did not get very fouled with lint or other debris causing it to act sluggish.

The quick and dirty

Pluses: Well-made quality product. Great for everyday carry. Affordable
Minuses: A little oddly shaped, kind of boxy.

Overall, we really loved the Civivi Sendy. The biggest issue with the one Civivi sent us is that we lost it. It got swallowed by a couch or some other place in the course of our travels. This is a great little knife with a nostalgic feel and something that we’d recommend folks buy if they’re in the market for a knife like the Sendy.
