About The Square Reviews
The Square Reviews is a publication of Forget Me Knot Media LLC. The aim of The Square Reviews is to provide brutally honest reviews and opinions on consumer goods, activities, locations, entertainment venues, food, restaurants, etc. – “products” hereafter.
In many instances, products and services are provided to us free of charge – however we do extensive reviews on already owned/purchased items as well – by companies for “testing and evaluation.” Most of the items supplied for T and E are kept by The Square Reviews and or the individual reviewers.
We believe that “iron sharpens iron,” and as such a company that’s willing to give away samples of their products for T and E purposes, at the peril of having honest, potentially negative information shared about them, speaks to everyone’s character. Just because a product was free, does not mean the review is going to be a slam dunk! Just because “xyz” publication/organization gave a product a glowing review, does not mean we will! We strive to review products and services that we find interesting as individuals or as an organization – and thus, will more than likely be enthusiastic about them.
We DO NOT accept payment in exchange for positive reviews!
Most products will have both “pluses” and “minuses.” Nothing is perfect and we strive to do our best to provide very honest opinions on whatever is being reviewed. Just because a product has a few “minuses” listed does not make it a bad product, just as products with “pluses” might be inferior to others on the market. Reviews are opinions.
In the event that a product or service is being viewed as more negative than positive, up to and including calling the product “garbage,” we will attempt to connect with the manufacturer or provider, when practical, to discuss shortcomings prior to rolling out a review. Such findings, discussions, quotes, etc. will be shared with our readers.
We believe it is important that as a voice for consumers we also allow companies to speak for their products if we’re going to scrutinize them in a gross manner. Good faith communications, sharing of information, and attempts to mitigate quality issues by companies, generally is a sign of a company or provider trying to go above and beyond. Customer service matters!
